MEC Babalo Madikizela visited the Mqanduli area in OR Tambo District Municipality to do sod turn and handover a site for the construction of Mqanduli Office Park.
The project is at an estimated value of R155 million rands, thirteen (13) packages for local Small Micro and Medium-sized Entities (SMMEs), the site is 4060 square meters at erf 13.

be occupying space in the building are the Department of Education (DoE), Department of Rural Development & Agrarian Reform (DRDAR), Department of Social Development (DSD) and Cooperative Governance & Traditional Affairs (COGTA). The One Stop Shop will assist the community of Mqanduli not having to travel as far as Mthatha to get services.
The structure will house these four client departments as follows:
Ground floor – Screening office First floor -Department of Social Development Second floor -Department of Agricultural Reform Third floor – Department of Education third with DPWI office
The Cluster offices will consist of open plan offices, store room, kitchenette, boardroom, conference room, children’s playroom, consultation room, ablutions for male, female and paraplegics, cleaners room, entrance lobby, parking, lifts, staircases, guardhouse, refuse area/house, elevated tank, landscaping, fencing. MEC Babalo Madikizela said, “Revitalizing the economy of small towns like Mqanduli is one of the key elements of job creation”
