In preparation for the 2019/20 financial year, Buildings and Immovable Asset Management Units, recently held a three day planning session to finalise their operational plans and move closer to the bid of reclaiming the mandate of the department.
Siphamandla Sithole, Manager Properties, gave a very precise presentation on the Immovable Asset Management portfolio and plans to use property portfolio to generate income.
Luvuyo Nkwentsha, Manager Buildings, outlined the maintenance management strategy that will include APTCoD students in setting up co-operatives and assist with minor maintenance.
He said “Funds will need to be set aside for working tools” He concluded that the department is committed to work in hand with all infrastructure departments.
